The Department in a Nutshell:

• Offers services to readers aged 16 and older.
• Readers are attended in Lending Room (E-mail: abonementas@splius.lt), Reading room and Internet reading room.
• Readers' attendance order and borrowing conditions are determined by the Library Regulations (in Lithuanian only).
• The Departmental stock consists of 38,500 items.
• The stock holds fiction and science branch literature.
• Subscribes to 28 titles of periodical publications.
• The Reading Room is equipped with 19 workstations, one of them is computerized. It is meant for search in the library e-catalogue.
• Activities: arrangement and presentation of thematic exhibitions, meetings with writers and prominent Siauliai city people.
• Annually: visitors - 26,000, borrowings - 86,400.
• The books are lent out under an automatic loan system.
