The Library in a Nutshell:

• The library has a lending room for children from the age of preschoolers to the 6th form, a lending room for children of 7th – 12th forms, a reading room and an internet reading room.
• Collection Size - 22,300; subscribes to 20 periodicals, serves both adults and children.
• Readers’ attendance order and borrowing conditions are stated in the Library Regulations.
• Books are lent out under an automatic loan system.
• Annually: visitors - 19,000, borrowings - 42,000.
• Attractive cultural events for children: traditional little poetry springs, events of national library week and Northern countries’ library week, events of Siauliai Days, presentations of new books and exhibitions.
• Meetings with famous writers, publishers, hours of fairytales and games, quizzes, contests, bibliography lessons, library tours, stage performances, displays of children’s drawings and craft.
• Co-operates with neighbouring schools and kindergartens, Special education centre “Ringuva”, Children's Care Home Saltinis.
• 11 computerized workstations, Instructions how to use internet and play computer games.(In Lithuanian only).
• Computer non–colour print-outs.
• Information search is performed at readers’ request,
• Colects informational publications and computer games.
